The cliche 'Flying Scotsman' has no doubt been overused in the motorsport context but our use of 'Flyer' in the title of a spectacular video featuring a very fast Scot has other reasoning behind it this time. The programme features the fastest on-bike camera lap yet recorded (up until the 1991 TT anyway) - in this case Steve Hislop at over 120 mph average, riding his Honda Britain RC30 V-Four during practice for the 1990 F1 TT. This is the first time that such a viewpoint has been obtained at racing speeds and boy does it show some activity at the front end! Yes we think 'TT Flyer' is an apt description for this unique video.
