    Product description

Forza Albion is the official DVD review of West Bromwich Albion's 2009/2010 Championship season. It features all the goals and highlights from a season which saw us promoted at the first time of asking under the superb guidance of Roberto Di Matteo.

"And so, a week after Easter, it was accomplished. Footballing resurrection as the Throstles rolled away the stone from the Championship mausoleum and ascended to join the heavenly host, the Premier League. Doncaster might seem an unlikely launch pad for such celestial travels, but such are the infinite, mysterious ways in which the God of football moves.

From an opening day draw with Newcastle beneath the benvolent gaze of the sadly passed Sir Bobby Robson to a final day meeting with the legendary Darren Moore of Barnsley, 2009/10 was a campaign packed with ups and downs, with moments heartbreaking and hilarious, mundane and magical. And at its heart, piloting phlegmatically, Roberto Di Matteo, adding a little Italian finesse to our Black Country passion. Forza Albion!"

I must admit I was severely concerned when Tony Mowbray left Albion to join Celtic. OK, we'd had terrible problems at the back for two seasons but the football, going forward, was a joy to watch. Fortunately a bright young coach, Roberto Di Matteo, was brought in from MK Dons and without losing our flair he managed to infuse a harder edge to the team. And, in the end, we managed to achieve promotion fairly comfortably.

Remember those breathtaking goals from the likes of Dorrans, Koren and Wood, those superb away wins against Boro, Leicester, Swansea, that amazing unbeaten home run after the Forest defeat. And, I'm beginning to believe that Youssouf Mulumbu really is better than Kaka!

So now, all Albion fans can enjoy this brilliant season with the official West Bromwich Albion 2009/10 season review DVD. A great season and cautious optimism for next...
