Nigel Mansell often came across more like a boxer than a
Formula One driver.
He said what he thought, fought with tooth and nail for
success and rarely got anything handed to him on a plate; his fans loved him
for it.
Always entertaining on and off the track, his latest autobiography only
serves to prove he’s still got a lot to say about the sport he loves.
He looks
back on his time in the cockpit, reminiscing about great races with Lauda,
Prost and Senna.
He also gives his opinion on the state of the sport today, explains
why Hamilton is misunderstood but has the capacity to excel and how Button can
still win World Championships.
It is an unmistakably Mansell-ish book, and all
the better for it.
