Southern 100 2011 DVD - Description

The 2011 Isle of Man Steam Packet Southern 100 International Road Races delivered the heady mix of close racing, star names, nail-biting finishes and gripping action we have come to expect from the ‘friendly races’ – plus an extra dose of adrenalin-fuelled drama!

Exceptional race footage, including superb on-bike and kerb-cam coverage, brings you every vital highlight from 13 thrillers around the 4.25-mile Billown course featuring everything from the hectic two-stroke battles to the might Superbike showdown – plus, of course, the breathtaking sidecar action.

Michael Dunlop was the undoubted star of the 2011 Southern 100, mixing it at the sharp end all the way and snatching a dramatic victory in the solo Championship race. But he wasn’t the only big name making headlines; Guy Martin, Ryan Farquhar, Cameron Donald, William Dunlop, Dan Kneen, Ian Lougher, Chris Palmer, Wayne Hamilton and Conor Cummins were all determined to make their mark.

Former World Champion Klaus Klaffenbock returned to defend his title with Dan Sayle, but the charging outfit of Simon Neary and Jason Crowe would ensure the multiple TT-winners would be pushed all the way.

As the action unfolds, the highlights just keep coming – including the jaw-dropping Senior which was decided by just 0.047 of a second!

The 2011 Southern 100 review features comprehensive race coverage, interviews and five complete on-board laps courtesy of Kneen, Lougher, Palmer, Klaffi and the man of the moment, Michael Dunlop.
