Before he became a household name and three-times Formula
One World Champion, Ayrton Senna developed his craft in British Formula Three.
This striking picture, from the LAT archives, shows a
fresh-faced Senna at the wheel of the F3 Ralt-Toyota, which would carry him to
the 1983 title and mark him out as a driver to watch for the future.
Just a year after this photo was taken, the Brazilian F1
star would be battling with Alain Prost for victory at the Monaco Grand Prix,
and within two years he would be a Grand Prix winner himself.
