MotoGP 2011 Official Review DVD

A flurry of team changes ensured the 2011 MotoGP World Championship would be unpredictable, dramatic and, often, controversial from the first green light.

The Official Review features the hottest action from every race, using the best footage from aerial, trackside and on-bike cameras, including the breathtaking gyroscopic views. There are interviews, bonus features and informed commentary to ensure you get the full story of a season packed with highs and lows.

Reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo, still on the works Yamaha, started favourite, however, Casey Stoner took no time to get to grips with his new Honda mount and soon emerged as the leading title contender. Dani Pedrosa’s hopes were, again, hit by injury, but the Honda star still produced some outstanding performances – not least in the epic Japanese GP. A switch to the works Yamaha for Ben Spies showed he has the makings of a future World Champion, and then there was Marco Simoncelli…villain to some, hero to others the one thing he can never be called is boring!

Making almost as many headlines as the championship battle was Valentino Rossi’s battle with his wayward Ducat. The Doctor and his team kept working hard all year, giving his legions of fans hope the move from Yamaha will pay off, eventually.

A Decade in MotoGP 2002-12 DVD

Celebrating a decade of the world’s premier motorcycle World Championship, this official documentary charts 10 years of headline-making MotoGP history.

Action-packed race and test footage, behind-the-scenes access, brand new, exclusive interviews and contributions from experts re-examine the on and off-track incidents which defined the first decade of the post-500cc era since 2002. These are the races, the passes, the crashes, the controversies, the rivalries and the technical innovations which have made MotoGP one of the most exciting, unpredictable and popular sports in the world.

Racing heroes Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, Nicky Hayden, Loris Capirossi and Toni Elias look back on the unforgettable moments, along with former racers Mick Doohan, Alex Criville and Steve Parrish. Team directors, crew chiefs and top mechanics offer their recollections and expert analysis alongside leading MotoGP journalists and commentators including Julian Ryder, Toby Moody and Matthew Roberts.

All the MotoGP magic is here; the story of the intense and bitter rivalry between Rossi and Sete Gibernau, including the infamous last corner pass at Spain in 2005, the dramatic road to title success for 2006 World Champion Hayden and the almost unbelievable journey to victory for Stoner and Ducati in 2007.

The great races are recalled, including Ducati’s first win of the 990cc era, Olivier Jacque’s awesome second place for Kawasaki in 2005, the rain-hit 2007 Japanese Grand Prix, Rossi’s debut win for Yamaha and the unforgettable 2008 Laguna Seca showdown between The Doctor and Stoner. Of course, the Rossi versus Lorenzo rivalry is here, including that dramatic last corner pass at the 2009 Catalan Grand Prix and the stunning 2010 Japanese race.

Crashes have played their part during the decade, and we remember Rossi’s leg-breaking fall, the 2006 pile-up at Catalunya and the clash between Dani Pedrosa and Hayden which nearly ended the American’s title ambitions. The story comes right up to date with Marco Simoncelli’s healine-grabbing moves in 2011, and how Rossi’s Ducati struggles reignited the simmering rivalry with 2011 World Champion Casey Stoner.

This is the ultimate guide to A Decade in MotoGP.

Please note, A Decade in MotoGP was made before the tragic loss of Marco Simoncelli at the Malaysian Grand Prix 2011.
