Product description

The 1989 Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix proved to be a stormy affair from start to finish, not only because of ‘Typhoon Hunt’ closing in from the Pacific, but also due to a wave of accidents which eliminated many of the contenders. The outcome was a storm of protest.

The Macau, notorious for its seemingly ‘magnetised’ steel wall-lined, canyon-like streets, is recognised as a stepping stone to Formula 3000 and above. The event attracted the usual bevy of young hopefuls, including the sons of two motorsport’s greatest heroes – David Brabham, son of Sir Jack, and Paul Stewart, son of the great Jackie.

In the bike racing event the man to watch proved to be Robert Dunlop, brother of the legendary Joey. The whole action-filled affair, fraught with drama, tension and explosive incidents, amounts to entertainment dynamite with a capital D.

To light the fuse, all you have to do is watch this review.
