of racing as the 2012 MotoGP World Championship set pulses racing around the
globe.

The season started with a magnificent battle between
Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo and reigning World Champion Casey Stoner, racing for
Honda. When the Australian’s title charge was halted by injury, teammate Dani
Pedrosa found an almost unbeatable form, ensuring he would push fellow Spaniard
Lorenzo every step of the way.
The incredible Stoner made an heroic return to claim victory
at home in what would be his last year of MotoGP before retiring.
It proved another tumultuous year for Valentino Rossi at
Ducati and Ben Spies at Yamaha, while Tech3 Yamaha teammates Cal Crutchlow and
Andreas Dovizioso put on a series of captivating battles. Plus, fans were
treated to remarkable performances from Alvaro Bautista and Stefan Bradl.
