Product description

This is the full story  of the roughest world championship powerboat race since the series began in 1966.

The course runs along Key West, one of the long peninsulas of land which project out to sea from the Florida coast. If it’s windy then one side of the course is protected and therefore calm, whilst the other side can be very different!

This powerboat race is particularly fascinating because of the direct confrontation of the 120 mph catamarans which suit calm water and the slightly slower monohulls which can cope better with rough seas.

In Main Event you’ll witness an extravaganza of marine power with  racers like reigning champion Paul Clauser in ‘Satisfaction’ and the U.K.’s Ted Toleman in another catamaran being challenged by the monohull of Jerry Jacoby.

Many boats don’t make the finish and through the Videovision cameras you’ll see why!
