The official film of England's 2004/2005 tour to South Africa. It had been 40 years since England last beat South Africa in their own backyard. But, England got off to the best possible start - aided by a Strauss century and a fine second innings bowling spell from Jones - with a victory in the 1st Test in Port Elizabeth. On to Durban, and England almost won again, falling agonisingly just 2 wickets short of victory. At Cape Town, the South Africans fought back with a comfortable victory, only for England to go 2-1 up in Johannesburg largely thanks to centuries from Strauss and Trescothick and a blistering 11 wicket match haul from Hoggard. Finally, to Centurion, where England gained the necessary draw to clinch this historic Test series win. Also included on this Double DVD are highlights from the ODI games. |
