You may not believe it, but we confirm that none of these recordings have been speeded up – they’re 100% real.
First we have a rare and quite special lap with TT legend John McGuinness at an average speed of over 128mph. The camera looks back at John’s every move as the scenery whizzes past at up to 191mph. It’s mesmerising stuff. Just watch for the walls at Handley’s Corner and the sheer pounding he takes from the many crests and dips.
Next is Steve Plater’s 128.9mph lap on the Thursday of Practice Week. This is terrifyingly fast, rider’s-eye-view magic from a rider who just gets quicker and quicker at the TT. Probably the most impressive lap recorded to date at the TT.
Then World Sidecar Champion Tim Reeves lets us have the passenger-eye-view on a lap in perfect conditions. Tim and Patrick Farrance have certainly learnt how to ride the World’s most challenging circuit in fast and fine style.
Finally Guy Martin shows us how he does a 128.8mph lap with a camera facing forward and mounted low on the bike. Also recorded during Thursday Practice, you can check out the full suspension movement as the bike skims over the white lines at race-winning speed.
