In this light-hearted thriller that blasts around the Isle of Man at the speed of a racing motorcycle, Jonathon Price, a surgeon from the north of England, is persuaded by a colleague to take a working holiday and act as a medical officer at the famous TT races.
Within hours of his arrival, strange things begin to happen. A star rider dies in circumstances which can only be described as mysterious and then, less than two days later, a doctor is murdered.
Price finds himself arrested as the prime suspect, but unexpected parties come to his aid and, much against his better judgement, he becomes involved in the investigation of a web of intigue which seems to stretch from the summit of the Island's highest mountain to the depths of its deepest mine.
