Lincolnshire’s Guy Martin is one of the most energetic and popular riders to grace the Isle of Man TT, but at the time of writing he was still waiting to secure that elusive first victory around the Mountain. Not reaching the top step of the podium is not through lack of trying – he is arguably one of the hardest working and most dedicated riders on the road racing circuit.
This wonderful artwork perfectly demonstrates Guy’s determination to win, showing him blasting past the TT Grandstand on his Hydrex Honda Superbike in pursuit of the ultimate prize – the Senior TT. This was during the 2007 Centenary TT, when he put in stunning laps at more than 129mph as he chased McGuinness, before having to settle for second.
