Avro Vulcan XH558 is flying again, and four
Bristol Siddley Olympus engines developing 60,000 lbs of thrust are once more tearing
the sky apart. This is the official story of the return of a big old lady,
whose fans have waited patiently – and many dug deep – to see her back in
flight. For some it is pride in a British achievement, for others it's a
reminder of a critical time in our defence against nuclear destruction but for
everyone it's the sight, the sound and the feeling of all that power.
