Gary Lineker put Tottenham in command by doubling the advantage but Arsenal grabbed a lifeline through Alan Smith just before the break. The second half ebbed and flowed, but it was Tottenham that clinched victory with a well-taken second goal form Lineker. The Spurs celebrations did justice to what was a fantastic Wembley day and a memorable semi-final.
