Scottish Six Day Trial 1988 Duke Archive DVD - Description

Springtime can mean only one thing for trials fans - the annual trek to the Highlands for the SSDT. The current form of Steve Saunders gave hopes of a home victory for the first time in 9 years. The works Fantic rider was in sparkling form with victories in the World Trials Championship under his belt this year, could he find the stamina and concentration needed to head this massive field? Last year’s winner Jordi Tarres (Beta) was keen to retain his title of King of the Highlands, but the Six Days is a hard battle for the aces.

But the trial does not just hinge around the top aces. A majority of the 300-odd riders are ordinary Sunday-riding clubmen. For them, even finishing the event is prize enough. Scottish rockery, moors, mud and rain, these were just some of the hazards competitors had to face daily in the Scottish.

Now we bring you the best video coverage ever offered of the Highland classic. It was filmed for DM by the expert Photac camera crews who covered many hundreds of miles to stay with the leading contenders all week and bring you the true flavour of the Scottish ’88. A quality production that puts you up with the action like never before.
