Born in Belgium in 1945, Jacky lckx served his 'apprenticeship' in motor sport the hard way and enjoyed a long and distinguished career in F1, during which he drove for Matra, Ferrari and Alfa Romeo. Known as a character in racing circles he is also recognised as a great ambassador to the sport. His name is synonymous with Le Mans and he raced successfully in the USA and won the Paris-Dakar Rally. This programme features many of Ickx's most famous races. He has a great deal to say about his chosen profession - all of it interesting and meaningful and this is a fine tribute to a remarkable personality.
