On 27th August, 1989 120,000 people and 25,000 Minis converged on Silverstone for the 30th Birthday Party of the world's favourite small car. Since its launch in 1959 we have seen a variety of Mini derivatives and special editions, including many created by inventive Mini owners! Whatever the treatment, the Mini maintains the uniquely cheerful characteristics which have ensured its popularity over the years. This official film captures the amazing atmosphere of the Mini's 30th birthday party, footage of many of the activities such as 'fancy dress' cars... and the incredible sight of five thousand Minis in the biggest ever one-make cavalcade!
