1000 Lakes Rally 1990 VHS - Description
Round 8 of the 1990 world rally series was as a cracker with Carlos Sainz (Toyota Celica GT-4) fighting off the best that the Finns could throw at him. The speedy Spaniard scared the pants off the Scandinavians and smashed one of rallying's greatest myths in the process. The duelling that took place between him and the legendary Ari Vatanen (Mitsubishi) must be seen to be believed! This was certainly no two-man event and Kenneth Eriksson's spirited performance in his Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 against the advances of Markku Alen in the Subaru Legacy RS is well worthy of mention and helped provide the perfect ingredients for the final rounds of this series.
