By the last round of the 1984 World Championship Rally season most enthusiasts were awaiting the RAC even more eagerly than usual to see if Ari Vatanen’s fabulous four wheel drive Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 could keep the mighty Quattros of Mikkola and Mouton at bay over the wet and slippery British terrain. Their results make for a comprehensive and incident packed 60 minutes. Look out especially for Tony Pond after his big prang in the Rover, interviews with top drivers, in-car coverage from Roger Clark’s Porsche (including a spin off with the camera running!), Mouton exploding the 450 bhp Quattro out of the forest corners, a look inside the Peugeot workshops and of course, Ari, in magnificent form.
