London to Sydney Marathon 1993 VHS - Description
The 1993 Lombard London-Sydney Marathon celebrated the 25th anniversary of the original trans-global event. Masterminded by former '68'er Nick Britain it pioneered the use of two massive Russian Antonov Aircraft and made motorsport history as the first event to airlift cars, competitors and officials between three continents - all in the course of thirty action packed days. It was a flat-out blind from the opening timed stage in Kent to - 12 countries later - the 41st and final speed test at Pierce's Creek. This is a unique record of an unique event.
