Description

The British Open Rally championship proved to be a battle royal of ‘youth’ versus ‘experience’ in 1991. Scotland’s Colin McRae (Subaru Legacy RS) was out to prove that he could combine his youthful exuberance and exceptional talent to add his name to the title his father had won five times in this, his first full season as a works driver. His main rival was Russell Brookes (Ford RS Cosworth 4x4). Expert camera crews have captured the spectacular action from five rounds, Talkland International, Fram Welsh International, Perth & Kinross Scottish, Manx International, plus some hectic in-car camera footage from rising star Mark Higgin’s Vauxhall Nova, and the rampaging BMW.
