The pressure was really on as the F1 circus travelled to the brand-new race circuit near Budapest in Hungary. Nigel Mansell was the championship leader in the Canon Williams Honda but team-mate Nelson Piquet had won the previous round and was hungry for further success. Ayrton Senna (Lotus) was equally determined and champion Alain Prost (McLaren) was making headway quietly and could not be disregarded. The cameras found some superb angles on the exciting new circuit, and all the atmosphere of this searing hot race was brilliantly captured. Would Mansell leave Hungary still leading the championship?
