BMW and TAG Porsche, running with the Brabham and McLaren teams respectively, both, had a lot at stake and yet, although Porsche left Hockenheim with first and second places in the bag, there was no clear winner in the engine war. Nelson Piquet started from fifth position on the grid but chased and passed early leader Alain Prost. The Brabham-BMW combination was working well and seemed to have the edge on its rivals. In the meantime Elio de Angelis (JPS) had led in fine style and Keke Rosberg blasted his Willams-Honda to 4th - from 19th! Yet again you can enjoy the fine spectacle of Rosberg in full flight! |
