F1 1984 British GP VHSYet again there was mechanical carnage early on as Ricardo Patrese spun right in front of the cameras eliminating four other drivers from the race - fortunately without serious injury. This was a race where tyres were critical and Michelin won, whilst the McLaren team again scored high in the overall technical stakes - despite losing Alain Prost through a mechanical problem in the second half. Nelson Piquet started on pole again but was unable to realise his or his car's full potential here. Derek Warwick meanwhile treats his home crowd to a splendid second place. Incidentally, you do get two starts instead of one in this programme and they're both well worth watching! |
