Maserati, Fraser Nash, ERA, Alvis, Alfa, Jaguar XK 120 and BRM can be seen in action at the European GP at Silverstone and Hillclimbing at Shelsey Walsh and Prescott in this selection of 1950s motorsport. Also featured are the 500 Club races at Silverstone, the Empire Trophy Races in the Isle of Man and the Goodwood races. Starrs Fangio, Parnell, Cooper, and Fagioli. The 1953 footage features the inaugural meeting at Oulton Park with some of the earliest on-board camera work. There's the 1953 Swiss GP, with early Ferraris, Cooper Bristols and Gordinis being driven by Fangio,Hawthorn, Farina, Bonnetto, and Ascari. The second part of the film covers early powerboat racing at Windermere.
