On this video we cover the basic techniques required to turn a road car into a sound, safe competitive car. We look at basic body shell construction, including roll cage installation, body lightening and seam welding. We look at safety features required by the RAC regulations as well as explaining the need for them. Added to that, former British Touring Car Champion Bob Gravett, gives tips on preparation both in the workshops and during a test session. We also visit Boreham and R.E.D. and take a look at the preparation and facilities that a top team finds necessary. This video is only intended as a guide but should at least put you on the right track!
