Shell History of Motor Racing Volume 3 1940-1951 VHS - Description
The post-war renaissance of motor racing was packed with thrilling races and magnificent names. At San Remo, an Argentinian mechanic romped home to a series of spectacular victories. His name was Juan Manuel Fangio. Albert Ascari's increasing brilliance earned him his place among the giants and a young driver called Stirling Moss made a successful bid to join them. Superb footage features from the splendour of Rheims, to the new circuits at Goodwood, Silverstone and Zandvoort; the success of a tiny factory run by a man called John Cooper; and the great 1950 Grand Prix at Silverstone, which was the first race ever to count towards an official world championship for drivers.
