The 1988 World Sports Car teams were having an exciting season! Here the action took place at Brands Hatch. Drivers such as Jean Louis Schlesser and Jochen Mass headed the Sauber Mercedes team, joined by Mauro Baldi and Stefan Johansson and competed against the likes of Martin Brundle and regular partner Eddie Cheever in the leading Silk Cut Jaguar. Jan Lammers and Johnny Dumfries were in the second XJR9, and hoped for a good result at Brands Hatch. Also competing for glory were John Watson, John Neilson and Andy Wallace. At Brands Hatch, the various teams made sure that this round of the series was as dramatic and action packed as ever.
