Against a background of the famous Daytona International Speedway some of America's legendary names line-up for a high speed confrontation driving a fascinating variety of endurance and sports cars.
A. J. Foyt and Darrell Waltrip are in the Pepsi Challenger -an Aston Martin Nimrod. Here too is international film star Gene Hackman driving a Toyota Celica and Bob Tullius in the mighty 5.3 litre Jaguar GT prototype. Add in a sprinkling of Porsche 935s, a Ferrari 512B, a March Chevrolet, and some American muscle cars like the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, and a fascinating race is in prospect!
