    Product description

With TWENTY-NINE changes of lead, and more overtaking each hour than the average Grand Prix, the 1984 Le Mans 24 Hours will be long remembered as one of the classic endurance races of the decade.

It was a race of both joy and tragedy; joy for the privately backed New Man Porsche team who won, and tragedy for Aston Martin who lost both their cars in the horrific accident which claimed the life of a French marshal.

But essentially, Le Mans 84 was a long and hard-fought battle between the teams of Lancia, Porsche and the American backed Jaguars, all seeking honours in the world's most famous motor race.  Crisp editing and special visual effects enhance the already spectacular action as the story unfolds.

'24 to Zero' is an exceptional film in many ways, not least because it  includes for the first time in-car video coverage of the actual race.  Driver Richard Lloyd's comments on being confronted by the Aston Martin crash allow the viewer a rare chance to share an unforgettable moment in a racing driver's life.

Produced from some 24 hours of film shot by seven cameramen throughout  Le Mans week, '24 to Zero' captures the atmosphere and essence of Le Mans - as well as providing a dramatic and accurate account of a classic race.
