The 1994 Superwinch Hillrally was probably the toughest and most spectacular to date. This gruelling three-day event, undertaken in appalling weather conditions in mid-Wales, attracted a top class entry of 75 vehicles, all of whom were determined to give it their best shot. Teams included 1993 winner Robin Clarkson, Douglas Devonald-Batt, David Simmonite, Russell Ridley, Gordon Monaghan, Chris Hammond and Yorkshire’s amazing Simmonite sisters.
