Description
The 1989 Paris Dakar was an uncompromising event. Ari Vatanen had to overcome various mishaps in his attempt to win his 2nd Paris Dakar. Together with Jacky Ickx and Guy Frequelin, the French team were the main threat to Mitsubishi and Nissan. Watch out for the bikers as they battle for supremacy over the undulating sand dunes of North Africa. Two camera crews followed the entire event in a Land Rover and footage from helicopters flying at over 100 mph within a few metres of the competitors complements the work of the ground crews as they follow the competitors in search of ‘power and glory’.
