Colin McRae Ford Focus Model - Description
The legendary Colin McRae is celebrated in the latest work
from Jim Bamber, showing the Scottish rally hero where he is best remembered –
at the wheel of a World Rally Championship car.
This ‘Saffie’ design is inspired by the Ford Focus in which
McRae took his first win for Ford, which was also Ford’s first win for the
Focus.
The model, made in poly-resin, is cold cast in two pieces
which are hand painted before assembly. Each model is about 14cm long x 9cm
wide x 8cm tall and weighs approximately 550gms.
A contribution from each sale will be made to the Colin
McRae Vision charity.
The first 250 models sold will be accompanied by a
Certificate of Authenticity signed by Jim Bamber and Colin’s dad Jimmy McRae,
the multiple British Rally Champion. The signed certificates are strictly limited
and when they’re gone, they’re gone.
Please note the models are due to be released in September
2009.
