year in which racing lost Stefan Bellof. Plus, 1986, a season dogged by
controversy down to the very last chequered flag, the Tom Walkinshaw-prepared
V12 XJR-8 machines humiliating Porsche throughout 1987, the turbo-charged
Sauber Mercedes cars entering the title fray in 1988 and the ‘silver arrows’ arriving
back on top of the world with the awesome C9 in 1989, when the title-deciding
