Wheeler Dealers Series Four (2 DVD Box Set) - Description

Most petrol heads dream of buying a virtual banger for a few grand, fixing it up and selling it on for a tidy profit.
It's hard work, but the pay-off is always worth the effort.
Mike Brewer and Edd China buy and restore iconic cars and then try and sell them on for a profit.
In the fourth series of Discovery Real Time's acclaimed series Wheeler Dealers, they rescue six classic cars from the scrap heap, give them a full mechanical makeover in just one frantic week and turn each one into a mint classic on a limited budget.
Of course, these aren't any old car nuts. Mike is a former car dealer with 38-years experience in the industry. He repairs and sells classic cars and knows just how to turn a hunch into a top find.
Edd's got one of the safest pair of hands in the business and his crack team of mechanics is used to sprinkling their magic dust on rust-buckets.
DISC 1 includes:
Porsche 911 - We manage to track down a Porsche 911 within our price range, but we quickly realise that it has a big problem with the gearbox. Will we be able to turn a profit on this handsome left hooker as we give it a Euro makeover and rebuild a leaky Targe roof?
Jeep Wrangler - This car was a real 'barn find' which we had to dig out of horse manure to bring back to the garage. But it was well worth it because where there's muck there's brass. The Wrangler was given a new hood, interior and tyres, a clutch overhaul and rebuilt suspension. A few touches of chrome here and there and this bona fida US classic was ready to roll.
Alfa Romeo Spider - This cheeky Italian convertible came to fame as the star of The Graduate with Duston Hoffman, since then it's been much sought after by classic car lovers. Our car looked great on the surface, but like most Italian cars once we stripped away the paint there were serious body problems underneath. A lot of welding, grinding, flatting and painting later our Spider was ready for its close up. A carburetter overhaul meant it drover beautifully too.
DISC 2 includes:
BMW 635 CSi - This glamorous motorway cruiser looks in good nick when we buy it, but as ever there's plenty to do. A new exhaust is fitted and the engine gets a new brace to aid handling. Inside the interior is gutted and a new cream leather one fitted from a donor car. Wheels are replaced and re-furbished before the car is ready to be sold on for a decent profit.
Corvette C4 - This 1980s muscle car is bought dirt cheap, but then it's got a load of problems. The headlights won't flip up, the speedo has gone AWOL, the roof leaks, the door cards are rotten and the engine overheats on long drives. This is a complex sports car which needs plenty of specialist care, but after a spell in our WD garage the car emerges looking a million dollars.
Lexus LS400 - This is the car that helped Lexus take on the might of BMW and Mercedes, and win. After 10-years service our example needs saving from the world of minicabs. A bit of paint, some new alloys, a few interior fixes and a clever heads-up telephone system and the car is ready for a few more years of executive motoring.
