1959 British Hillclimb Championship DVD - Description

Speed Hillclimbing - racing cars against the clock, driving on a point-to-point tarmac course uphill in unlimited machinery - was, and still is, one of Britain's most popular forms of motorsport. The 1959 British Hillclimb Championship was a classic season.

For the first time witness the spectacle of cars such as Coopers, Lotus and ERAs being driven to the limit, and sometimes beyond, at classic hillclimb venues such as Prescott and Shelsley Walsh. Plus venues no longer in use, such as Westbrook Hay and Stapleford Airfield. Enjoy Hillclimb specialist, David Boshier-Jones, battling for titles honours with one of motorsport's great all-rounders, Tony Marsh.

This charming colour film has been unseen since 1959. The original film print has been remastered and brought to DVD for the very first time. It is yet another classic document from the fantastic motorsport archive of David Roscoe. A must for any true historic motor racing fan.

EXTRA FEATURES: 1963 BRSCC meeting at Wiscombe Park - 1973 VSCC meeting at Shelsley Walsh - 1974
VSCC meeting at Curborough.
