London to Brighton 2007 Veteran Car Run DVDExperience the thrill of this historic event, which in 2007 boasted the second largest entry of pre-1905 cars in its 111-year history. The DVD follows the wonderful 60-mile journey from London to Brighton, a real celebration of classic motoring held on the first Sunday of November. The weekend of special events attracted an entry of 531 veteran cars, and was watched by tens of thousands of enthusiastic spectators. The run start from London's Hyde Park at sunrise, headed by the oldest car in the field - an 1895 Peugeot. Three hours later a 1902 Panhard et Levassor was the first across the finish line in Madeira Drive, Brighton. With the sun setting over Brighton Pier, a 1903 L'Elegante was the last car to complete the 60-mile route. |
