Barry Rowe is in a long tradition of English artists focused on the car. His bold style emphasizes atmosphere and light. Almost all his paintings show warmth, which reflects his love for dawn and dusk. His technique involves layering colors to get interesting contrasts and underpainting in dark tones. Barry attended Coventry College of Art and later devoted himself full time to automotive art came after he won a competition sponsored by Sotheby’s and the Transport Trust. The book is presented in a slipcase and is limited to 1,500 individually signed and numbered copies.
