Introduction

Description

This book shows you David's journey from Tynholm in Scotland to his current role as driver for Red Bull Racing. It is at times surprisingly frank and open - something that is unusual in a sport where many of the top names act as though they are indestructible. The honesty extends not only to his racing and professional life, but also his relationships and his much reported media scandals.

David shows from the very beginning his sense of humour when at the front of the book he thanks his ghost writer (Martin Roach) and tells him that wearing the white sheet was more than he expected. This is well written and there is some swearing, but nowhere near as much as in the Steven Gerard Autobiography.

David recalling the book drifts a little between areas of his life and says that writing this has caused him to look at things different, and look back at things that he hasn't thought about for years. It seems that beyond the F1 superstar there is a rather plain and down-to-earth genuinely nice accountant!
