Perfect racing conditions for both competitors and spectators heralded the fastest race ever seen at the TT on Saturday 1st June 1991. Honda brought the million dollar 190 mph RVF 750 machines for Steve Hislop and Carl Fogarty to challenge Yamaha, who were also celebrating 30 years at the TT and looking for glory. In practice, both Hislop and Fogarty recorded laps at over 124 mph average speed - quite mind-boggling even by the high standards of the TT.
