History of the TT Volume 1 - the Early Years 1907 - 1939 VHS - Description

Part One of the definitive three-part history from producer David Wood of the Isle of Man TT.

We look at the very first TT in 1907 when Charlie and Harry Collier rode to victory on their belt-driven Matchless machines.

Riders such as Stanley Woods, Jimmy Simpson - who was the first rider to lap the course at 60mph (1924), 70mph (1926) and 80mph (in 1931) - Jimmy Guthrie, Walter Handley and Alec Bennett are just a few of the other legends who helped power the TT through its first years.

Featuring action footage from every year between 1920 and 1939, and some rare footage from earlier years.
