Few riders deserve the title 'King of the Roads' as richly as Joey Dunlop OBE, MBE. This film, made in 1993 gives a timeless insight into a modest but legendary rider - featuring many of Joey's great races in the IOM TT and Ulster GP. Almost unbeatable in the most challenging category of motorcycle sport - racing on closed public roads he had won a record 19 TTs (incluing 4 since this video was made), three World Formula One Championships and numerous high speed road races in Ireland and elsewhere. There’s also footage of ‘Yer Maun’ and his family at home in Ballymoney where, in a rare interview, he reflects on a career which is part of Irish, and bikesport, folklore.
