The 1998 European Stunt Riding Championship was full of drama and excitement. Scotsman Kevin Carmichael, despite having a leg in plaster, gave a brave performance in the first two rounds. Despite giving everything, he couldn’t match the skill and talent of Brazilian AC Farias who proved he is one of the best stunt riders in the world. With Dave Coates, Magnus Carlsson, Craig Jones and Andy Hawksworth all so close in points 98 proved to be a thrilling championship.
