With Thierry Michaud the meat in the Honda sandwich of Eddy Lejeune and Steve Saunders, the Italian Fantic factory was extremely anxious that their No 1 should do well in the Swedish round of the 1986 World Trials Championship. But they were not the only three in contention. In what was regarded as the hardest round of the series, the other continentals offered plenty of challenge. Scores of turns and big rocks on the very long Swedish sections piled the marks up, but viewing the trick balancing and full blooded attacks on the death defying rockery offers plenty of thrills for the armchair enthusiast.
