Reigning 250 world champion Stefan Everts formed his own teams for 1997. Before the season had started the team and Honda's all new perimeter frame had their critics. Sebastian Tortelli, had moved up to the 250 class and was hotly tipped to steal Everts crown. With Tortelli on the track, there was always an expectation of entertainment. The big question was would Everts rise to the challenge and the answer was an emphatic yes but not before Tortelli showed the world how fast he was on the factory Kawasaki. Bervoets, Vohland and Demaria all had their day too. The action is nail-biting, the commentary well-informed and the standard of racing something else!
