Although Belgium's Georges Jobe had wrestled the title from Britain's Dave Thorpe, there was still plenty of excitement in the final round of the 1987 World Motocross Championship on the fast and demanding Roggenburg track near Basle in Switzerland.
You can now reflect upon that last outing which featured a titanic clash between Honda riders Jobe and Thorpe, Yamaha’s Leif Persson and Kurt Ljungqvist, KTM rider Kees van der Ven and Kawasaki's Kurt Nicoll. The cameras got right into the heart of the action, as the iron men hurtled their powerful bikes over the humps and bumps of the rapid Swiss arena. There are interviews with all the top men too.
