The race developed into a spectacular encounter between the Texan and Rainey, much to the delight of the 130,000 enthusiastic fans. In yet another hectic 250 showdown, 'Kraftsman' Kocinski proved he is mastering the art of GP tactics while speed merchant Luca Cadalora impressed the huge crowd with his on-the-limit riding until he had two spectacular prangs on the last lap and limped away from his demolished Yamaha with his pants full of gravel.
