The Italian GP was rather controversial circumstances. The outcome of the 500 race was disappointing and coverage of the race takes up less than half of this programme as a result. The 125 race deserves 9 out of 10 for entertainment whilst the 250 scratchers were on the limit from start to finish. Sito Pons (Honda) was leading the championship from second place man Luca Cadalora (Yamaha). Jean Philippe 'Elbows' Ruggia, Jacques Cornu, Juan Garriga, and Carlos Cardus were equally determined to be at the front. One thing's for sure - you're a lot safer in your armchair than at the track in this event!
