Product description

An historic video in which we celebrate the very first time the World Motorcycle Championship headed 'down under'! The inaugural Australian Grand Prix was staged at the magnificent Phillip Island circuit in the state of Victoria. Championship leader Kevin Schwantz set the pace in practice and was out for another victory over Wayne Rainey. Home-grown riders Wayne Gardner and Michael Doohan were also keen to win. Christian Sarron showed in practice that he was back to his 1988 form; while Freddie Spencer and Niall Mackenzie also went into the race confident of success. This all-action video captures the very best of the racing from the 500cc and 250cc classes.
